What I stand for:

Survival mode is a state; not a character flaw. I know how reasonable it feels from the inside: the vigilance, the quiet, the way a body learns to stay ready long after the danger has passed. I also know how long it can take to believe you’re allowed to put it down and truly feel free.

Freedom is a body-level experience, and nobody gets there alone. It rarely arrives as a breakthrough. More often it’s a moment when your system finally registers that it’s safe, and you realize you get to rest, reflect, and choose. It often happens subtly at first and doesn't stay long at first.

Everything I do, from EMDR and IFS to yoga, coaching, and tools you can use without ever setting foot in my office, exists to make that moment possible.

Some of the most powerful moments in this work are when someone finally releases what they’ve carried alone, and something in them begins to come back to life.

Many people find me carrying fear and pain they’ve never been able to say out loud, whether they are dealing with trauma themselves, or are the steady presences who sit with the people going through the trauma, such as first responders, medical professionals, therapists, advocates, and the women and men doing the daily work at places like Selah Freedom and Resilient Retreat who take that silence in. They see what the rest of us are spared, and they keep showing up. That too has a cost, and deserves care.

I believe helpers need regulation, rest, boundaries, and community as much as the people they serve, because regulated helpers sustain healing communities and depleted ones can’t.

That’s why I stand with Selah Freedom, which brings freedom to survivors of sex trafficking, and Resilient Retreat, which restores life and freedom to survivors of abuse, helping providers, and first responders.

You may come to me through different doors, but they all have the same conviction: people can come back to themselves, and nobody should ever have to do it alone.

Freedom, safety, purpose, and full engagement in life aren’t luxuries. I know what it takes to reach them, and I’ll never treat them as anything less than the point.
